The solution for your high-speed copper cabling
The use of pre-assembled unilan® trunk cables from Daetwyler Cables makes your infrastructure clearer, more flexible and more economical, thus providing a simple solution to many of your problems. The special copper trunks consist of six bundled 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet-compatible AWG 23 data cables - or a multiple thereof - each completing a panel of 24. In the factory they are labelled, cut to length to the customer’s requirements, measured and pre-assembled with various connector configurations, as required.
Daetwyler Cables offers a choice of RJ45 modules or Cat.7/7A PS GG45TM and PS TERATM connector configurations. The latching capability of the sleeve module in the Keystone design makes it easy to clip the modules into and out of standard housings and special panels, which actually need only be a solid piece of angle steel. Also possible are connections based on a 50-pole multi-contact connector, in which six cables can be terminated and which ends in a pre-assembled cartridge with RJ45 sleeves on the front. Combinations of various optional connector configurations are also available during connector pre-assembly, making it simple to adapt existing active and passive components. The concept complies with EN50173-5 guidelines.
The bundled cable runs (trunks) guarantee the clear and orderly installation of copper cables in runs and trays above network and server cabinets. In the event of alteration or expansion the pre-assembled cable runs can thus be exchanged without difficulty, and where appropriate used in other locations. The trunks are very easy to handle. They can therefore also be easily replaced by in-house personnel, without the need to engage an outside contractor and without operations or commercial activities being interrupted. Rows or cabinets are often arranged so that the connections between them are always evenly spaced. Where this is the case, copper trunks with pre-defined optimal lengths can be used for the connection runs. This design obviates the need to measure out the amount required every time, nor is there any waste or any need to bundle „excess cable rings“ on the trays.
