The solution for an economical power supply

A star-shaped power supply with vast numbers of individual cables is confusing and difficult to modify. In addition, the heaped cables heat up easily, their load capacity suffers and they age extremely quickly.

By contrast, a very clear, flexible and reliable infrastructure can be constructed for the normal and UPS network using the ecobus® flat cable safety system from Daetwyler Cables. The system can be fastened to the side walls or underneath the data cable channels using cable clamps. Alternatively, the system can of course be laid beneath the false floor to save space. The cabinets can thus be comprehensively supplied with power, either from above or from within the false floor. The flatcable safety systems are supplied with power via halogen-free Pyrofil safety cables. Cable cross-sections from 2.5 to 16 mm2 are available, depending upon the power requirement. Power can be fed to or drawn from any desired point of the flat cable by means of an adapter, without the cable being interrupted. Connections to the conductors can be produced by means of direct screw connections or plug-and-socket systems - even when live, and without interrupting operations. End protection, by which good selectivity can also be achieved, no longer takes place at the subdividers, but directly at the consumers. The cabling requirement is thereby reduced by up to 80 percent.

Thanks to the reduction or breaking up of cable bundles, the power supply system is much more effective with ecobus® - and, not least, more durable.
