decentralized mounting of actuators
... and that’s how it’s done!

EIB system components integrated in sub-distributor along with any actuators for central switching actions such as those for stairwell lighting.
The office actuators are mounted directly on the ceiling, and are no longer visible once the false ceiling has been installed. Ecobus office actuators are connected to their required power supply using the Ecobus Combi flat cable and the data bus using connectors. Pre-assembled Ecobus patch cables, which use the same connection technology, are used to connect consumer devices such as lights or window blind motors.
Decentralized EIB installation. One Ecobus B-6J office actuator to control 6 independent window blind motors. In this illustration, the Ecobus B-6J office actuator has been installed in the false floor. A pre-assembled Ecobus patch cable is used to supply the office actuator with power and data, and also controls the different window blind motors using plugable patch cables.
