This tests data cable for its burning behaviour. After a specific burn time, the cable sample is checked for after-burning.

A cable bundle is fixed in a s special burn chamber to test after-burning. In this way, and this is decisive, not only the sheath material is tested, but also the behaviour of the entire cable.
